Understanding The Cause of Pimples & Acne
Acne is the term we use to describe a rash like skin disorder which annoys the heck out of millions of people. There’re basically two types of acne, namely non-inflammatory which is the common black heads & white heads type, & the more serious inflammatory variety which manifests itself as papules, pustules & in serious cases as nodules & cysts.
The cause of pimples & acne is a vast subject, with theories ranging from hormones to stress. So… Some of the causes are hormones, especially during puberty & a woman’s menstrual cycle. Taking Birth control pills & pregnancy, also affect the hormone balances in the body, & can lead to acne outbreaks. Many of the old myths about eating sweets or candy have basically been disproved, but having said that, if eating certain foods seems to lead to an increase in pimples, then it would probably be best to stop eating it.
When treating acne, like many things in life it’s better to attempt & stop acne outbreaks rather than cure them. Simple habits such as keeping your skin clean, & wearing clean garments, & sleeping in clean bedding can assist stop or reduce acne & pimples. There is more. There’re also many acne treatments & medications on the market. Getting some good advice from your doctor or pharmacist is always a good starting point, but be fully aware that a treatment which works for one person may not necessarily work for some one else. And so… Squeezing pimples is generally regarded as a bad
idea, as this practice can result in scarring.
Acne is a nasty affliction which doesn’t discriminate between people of different nationalities or backgrounds. Unfortunately some of people are afflicted more severely than others. Acne can be controlled, & the very best way to do this is to arm yourself with information about the cause of pimples & the best practices & treatments available to combat this horrible disease. Getting the information, & acting upon it will go a long way to getting a beautiful pimple free skin.
