We all know that smoking has a strong negative impact to our health. By example, more smokers die from high blood pressure than any other high risk group. According to American Hearth Association, smoking is the number one cause of sudden death due to hearth attack. Hypertensive smokers will suffer from stroke three times more than nonsmokers. 500,000 Americans die of smoking related illnesses each year. Therefore, every smoker should be fully aware of the danger that smoking will bring to their life sooner or later.

Many smokers might say that smoking makes them feel more relaxed. However, the nicotine in cigarettes will constrict their arteries & reduce blood flow. From the study, it shows that after smoking only two cigarettes, your high blood pressure will increase by an average of 11 mm Hg systolic & 9 mm Hg diastolic & your hearth rate will increase by 43 percent.

It is so hard for any smokers to stop smoking. Actually, there’re many prescription & non prescriptions on the market that will help them stop smoking habit. However, I would not recommend anyone to use prescription or non prescriptions drugs to stop smoking at the first time. There’re 5 tips that can assist you stop smoking by yourself. These are:

1. Make your car, home & office completely smoke free.

2. Change the brand of cigarettes that you do not like.

3. Chew gum, celery stick or carrot stick when having a craving.

4. Drink lots of water.

5. Avoid any trigger that make you feel like smoking.

The sooner you stop smoking, the longer you’ll live.
