So I want to really slim down over summer so that I’m back to how I was like 2 years ago, So I have about two and a half months so I want to start as soon as I can to get the most weight I can possibly lose over summer.
I’m doing to 17 day diet but I don’t plan on eating over 500 calories a day, which will be easy for me because I’ll be working all day and over have to worry about the nights. Also on the side over just eating 500 calories I’m going to be going to the gym as many days a week as I can, with a MINIMUM of four times a week plus I plan on walking the signal hill trail, I live in newfoundland, AT LEAST twice a week.

Currently I’m 180lbs and about 5’5 and I’d like to go down to around 120. So do you think it’s possible if I exercise daily and then only eat a maximum of 500 calories a day to lose 60lbs?

I am 19 years old, 5’2″, and I currently weigh 117 pounds. At the beginning of the summer I weighed 130 pounds, and I went on the “17 Day Diet” program. I lost 15 pounds, and reached my goal weight of 115. My plan was to lose 5 more pounds to reach 110 pounds, since according to the 17 Day Diet book, that is how much a person of my stature should weigh.

After much research, I concluded that I burn around 1750 calories a day without working out, and so I would eat 1200 calories a day and work out about 30 minutes a day to lose around a pound a week until I achieved 110 pounds.

So far, it’s been 5 days following this, and I now weigh 118. I am very much afraid of getting back into the 120 area, and I do not know what to do. Is this just water weight, and I should ignore it? I’m afraid if I ignore it, though, I will start to gain everything I have lost. Help please!
p.s.- I DO plan on maintaining between 110-115 once I get there. That was the original plan.

Answer by MarbellI think it depend on your body, but why would you want to lose weight? I gone to a doctor I’m 5’4 also and she told me that for 5’4 I should be 125 lbs. I’m 150 lbs and losing 10 lbs every week with 1 hour exercise and and 3 liter of water every day and a diet (not raw) and medicine.

I’ve already lost 10 pounds, but I’m not too happy with my results. I can barely tell I lost weight. I still look the same in the mirror except for my face, I can tell it’s way slimmer. I want to go on a no/low carb diet because I still have at least 10-15 pounds I want to lose. A good part of my diet are carbs, I probably have them in every meal. My mom went on the 17 day diet which was no carb then low carb and lost 8 pounds in the first 17 days. So how do I stick to the no/low carb thing?
***I’m also doing the 30 Day Shred and use an elliptical. I’m going to start walking daily.***
